International Industries Ltd. Withholds Dividend Payments to 500 Shareholders Due to Missing Information

Karachi: International Industries Limited (IIL) has announced the electronic credit of a 50% final cash dividend to 4,457 shareholders, effective from October 19, 2026, through Habib Bank Limited, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The dividend payments, however, have been withheld for 500 shareholders due to missing banking and identification details, as per the Companies (Distribution of Dividends) Regulations, 2017.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the dividend distribution process encountered a regulatory compliance issue where dividends to a section of shareholders were retained. This affects those who have not submitted their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) numbers or International Bank Account Numbers (IBANs). The regulation mandates that such details are essential for processing dividend payments.

The company urges shareholders who have not provided the necessary banking details to complete their registration with the Central Depository Company's (CDC) e-Dividend Repository. This step is crucial for receiving dividends, along with information on tax and zakat deductions from various companies.

In line with Section 242 of the Companies Act, 2017, all dividends are mandated to be paid exclusively through electronic transfers to designated bank accounts. Shareholders with outstanding or unclaimed dividends are advised to present their claims with supporting documents to the company's share registrar, CDC Share Registrar Services Limited, within ninety days from the notice date.

The company's actions reflect the ongoing efforts to streamline shareholder transactions and adhere to regulatory requirements, ensuring that dividends are distributed efficiently and in compliance with the existing laws.
