Karachi: International Packaging Films Limited (IPAK) has announced a robust year marked by significant strategic achievements, including a highly successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) and the commencement of operations at its two new subsidiaries. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this marks a substantial phase of growth and expansion for the company, renowned for its innovative packaging solutions.
On June 3, 2024, IPAK made its mark on the Pakistan Stock Exchange with an IPO that was oversubscribed by 1.73 times, indicating strong investor confidence and heralding a new chapter in its corporate journey. The total demand reached a remarkable PKR 2.54 billion against an issue size of PKR 1.47 billion, reflecting robust market trust.
The company's financial performance in 2024 highlighted a revenue increase to PKR 17,089 million from PKR 16,618 million in the previous year, driven by an 11.7% growth in volume. Despite a challenging economic environment characterized by fluctuating inflation and interest rates, IPAK managed to maintain a profit after tax of PKR 1,138 million.
2024 was also significant for IPAK’s operational capabilities with the addition of Global Packaging Films (Private) Limited (GPAK) and Petpak Films (Private) Limited (PPAK) to its portfolio. These subsidiaries began their commercial production, enhancing IPAK’s capacity and establishing it as the largest flexible packaging manufacturer in Pakistan. The expansions are expected to leverage both domestic and international market opportunities, further fortifying IPAK's leadership position in the packaging industry.
As part of its strategic initiatives, IPAK also established IPAK Connect in the UAE to boost its export operations, targeting key international markets and enhancing its global footprint.
