International Packaging Films Limited Subsidiary Announces Major Acquisition

Lahore: International Packaging Films Limited has announced the acquisition of a new metallizer for its wholly owned subsidiary, Global Packaging Films (Private) Limited (GPAK), at an estimated project cost of approximately PKR 1.40 billion. The announcement was made on July 22, 2026.

The acquisition aligns with the group's strategic initiative to bolster its portfolio of value-added products within the packaging films sector. The inclusion of the state-of-the-art metallizer is expected to enhance GPAK's metallizing capabilities, significantly expanding its production capacity for metallized packaging films. This move is anticipated to improve operational efficiencies and cater to the increasing demand from both domestic and export markets.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the investment is a part of the strategic initiatives under the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.6.1 of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited Regulations. This development is pivotal for GPAK as it seeks to cement its position in the market by focusing on high-value-added offerings.
