Karachi, Jauharabad Sugar Mills Limited has issued a notice regarding its upcoming Extra-Ordinary General Meeting (EOGM), scheduled to convene on Thursday, September 7, 2023, in Lahore. The purpose of the meeting is to address critical matters pertinent to the company's governance and operational structure.

The primary focus of the EOGM will be on the election of seven directors, as stipulated by the Board of Directors. These newly elected directors will serve a three-year term, which will officially commence on September 8, 2023.

The directors whose terms are expiring and are thus set to retire are Mr. Syed Anwar Hussain Shahid, Mr. Muhammad Aamir Beg, Mr. Ghias-ul-Hasan, Mr. Amjad Javed Aftab, Mr. Saif ur Rehman, Mr. Farhan Byas, and Ms. Faiza Iftikhar. These individuals have collectively contributed to the growth and development of Jauharabad Sugar Mills, and their roles will now be passed on to the new set of elected directors. The company has announced the closure of its share transfer books from August 31, 2023, to September 7, 2023.
