Karachi: JS Investments Limited disclosed its financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2024, with significant growth in profit after tax compared to the previous year. The company revealed that the Board of Directors, in a meeting held via video conferencing on August 20, 2024, decided not to issue any cash dividends, bonus shares, right shares, or any other entitlements or corporate actions.
The company reported that income from remuneration on funds under management before taxes reached 248.35 million rupees for the quarter, up from 92.86 million rupees in the same period last year. After accounting for sales tax and other deductions, net income stood at 112.66 million rupees, an increase from 45.26 million rupees year over year.
Additionally, JS Investments posted a net unrealised gain on investments at fair value through profit or loss of 47.41 million rupees, with net gain on sale of investments reaching 52.68 million rupees for the quarter. The company's diversified income streams also included dividend income and returns on bank deposits and debt securities.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the firm's total net profit after tax soared to 106.48 million rupees for the quarter, up from 51.71 million rupees in 2023. The earnings per share for the period were recorded at 1.72 rupees, compared to 0.84 rupees in the previous year.
