Karachi: Karam Ceramics Limited has announced its financial results for the nine months and quarter ending March 31, 2026, as approved by the company’s Board of Directors during a meeting held on April 27, 2026. The board decided not to distribute any cash dividend, bonus shares, or right shares for the reported period. The results will be shared through PUCARS separately within the stipulated timeframe.
The company faced significant challenges due to ongoing economic pressures, including persistent inflation, high energy and fuel costs, elevated financing rates, and geopolitical uncertainties. These factors have adversely impacted construction activities and consumer purchasing power, leading to a subdued demand across the tile sector. Market activity was primarily driven by renovation projects and certain public sector developments, while private sector construction showed a continued slowdown.
Despite these challenges, Karam Ceramics Limited emphasized its focus on operational efficiency, cost control, and prudent resource management. The company’s net turnover for the cumulative period ending March 31, 2026, was reported at 500.34 million, compared to 496.60 million during the same period last year. For the quarter, the net turnover stood at 155.35 million, a decrease from 295.81 million in the previous year.
The gross loss for the nine-month period was 24.37 million, a significant improvement from a loss of 439.04 million in the previous year. The quarterly gross loss was 22.37 million, compared to 203.36 million a year earlier. The loss before tax for the cumulative period was 57.17 million, reduced from 473.19 million last year, while the quarterly loss before tax amounted to 25.96 million, compared to 217.14 million in the prior year.
The company’s loss after tax for the nine months was 63.43 million, an improvement from the previous year’s loss of 467.76 million. For the quarter, the loss after tax was 27.90 million, compared to 217.51 million last year. Earnings per share for the nine-month period were reported at negative 4.36, compared to negative 32.15 the previous year. For the quarter, earnings per share were negative 1.92, compared to negative 14.95 last year.
