Karachi: Karam Ceramics Limited has published its financial results for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, revealing a significant reduction in annual losses, bolstered by a modest increase in revenue. The report, dated October 21, 2026, showcases crucial financial metrics, providing insights into the company's performance over the past year within the designated market category of ceramics manufacturing.
The company's total assets now stand at 1.94 billion Pakistani Rupees, reflecting an increase from 1.49 billion the previous year. This growth is attributed primarily to an increase in property, plant, and equipment, which rose from 1.19 billion Rupees to 1.55 billion Rupees.
The financial position shows total liabilities at 655.79 million Rupees, up from 587.77 million Rupees in 2025. Despite the increase in liabilities, Karam Ceramics managed to bolster its equity from 905.19 million Rupees to 1.28 billion Rupees, driven by a surplus on revaluation of freehold land and buildings.
Revenue for the year was recorded at 617.48 million Rupees, a moderate move upward from the 584.21 million Rupees reported in the previous year. However, the cost of sales saw a substantial decrease from 1.12 billion Rupees to 664.10 million Rupees, significantly impacting the gross loss, which narrowed to 46.61 million Rupees from 531.86 million Rupees in 2025.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's operating loss reduced markedly to 100.96 million Rupees, a very large move from the 611.62 million Rupees loss reported in the preceding year. This improvement was aided by a rise in other income to 9.34 million Rupees from 736,007 Rupees, and a reduction in finance costs.
Despite these gains, Karam Ceramics reported a loss after taxation of 100.46 million Rupees, a significant improvement when compared to the 728.23 million Rupees loss recorded in 2025. The loss per share also improved substantially, from (50.05) Rupees to (6.90) Rupees, indicating a positive trajectory for the company's financial health.
The financial results underscore Karam Ceramics' progress in stabilizing its operations and reducing its financial deficits, setting a cautiously optimistic outlook for the future.
