Kot Addu Power Elects New Directors for Three-Year Term

Karachi: Kot Addu Power Company Limited has announced the election of its new board of directors following its Twelfth Extraordinary General Meeting. The election, held on October 2, 2024, sees the induction of a diverse group of professionals, set to steer the company for a three-year term starting from October 2, 2024.

The meeting culminated in the selection of eight directors, comprising both military and civilian professionals, including Lt. General (Retd) Sajjad Ghani and Mr. Aqeel Ahmed Nasir, alongside other notable figures such as Mr. Saad Iqbal and Mr. Naveed Asghar Chaudhry. The board also includes Mr. Jamil Akhtar and Mr. Hafiz Mohammad Yousaf, both serving as independent directors. Furthermore, the inclusion of Ms. Mahwish Humayun Khan and Mr. Khawaja Khalil Shah as independent directors highlights the company's ongoing commitment to governance and diverse representation.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the new board’s composition reflects a blend of experience and expertise essential for the company’s strategic direction and governance.
