Leadership Changes at Pakistan General Insurance Company amid Resignation

Karachi: The Pakistan General Insurance Company Limited announced significant leadership changes on September 30, 2025, following the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer, Abdul Haseeb Fakih. The Board of Directors, in a session held at the company's registered office, accepted the resignation of Fakih, who also served as a member of the board. The resignation was submitted via email on September 22, 2025.

In light of Fakih's departure, the board expressed its gratitude for his contributions to the company. The board also moved swiftly to ensure continuity in leadership by appointing Mir Babar Ali as both a director and the acting CEO of the company. These appointments are subject to approval and clearance from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the board has authorized Muhammad Mushtaq, the company secretary, to handle all necessary paperwork and regulatory compliance. This includes filings with the SECP and the PSX to formalize the leadership changes and ensure a seamless transition.
