Live Securities Limited Ceases to be a TRE Certificate Holder

Karachi: Live Securities Limited has officially surrendered its Trading Right Entitlement (TRE) Certificate, concluding its status as a certificate holder with the Pakistan Stock Exchange. This development follows a comprehensive legal and administrative process initiated last year.

On November 18, 2024, the Sindh High Court issued an order in the case of Live Securities Limited versus Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, designated as Suit No.-1372/2024. Subsequently, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) released Notice No. PSX/N-382 on April 15, 2025, seeking any claims or objections related to the matter from holders of TRE Certificates or their clients.

The exchange received no claims or objections, paving the way for the acceptance of Live Securities Limited's request to relinquish its TRE Certificate. According to clause No. 4.9.4 of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Rule Book, and in compliance with the court's order, the certificate surrender has been executed.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the decision to remove Live Securities Limited from the register of TRE Certificate Holders took effect immediately. This marks the end of the company's participation in the trading rights associated with the PSX, one of the prominent entities in the designated market category of stock exchanges.

The relinquishment of the TRE Certificate by Live Securities Limited highlights the procedural adherence required in the exchange's operations, ensuring a structured and legal conclusion to the company's trading rights within the PSX framework.
