Karachi: The Central Depository Company (CDC) Share Registrar Services Limited has reported the loss of several share certificates belonging to the deceased shareholder, Mohammed Feroze, as per the report dated September 1, 2026. This development has been communicated to members of the Pakistan Stock Exchange to prevent trading in the affected securities.
The lost share certificates pertain to three companies listed on the exchange. For Pakistan Oxygen Limited (PAKOXY), two certificates with a total of 176 shares have been reported missing. The specific certificate numbers and their respective share distributions are as follows: Scrip #194469, with distinctive numbers ranging from 47096434 to 47096511, accounting for 78 shares, and Scrip #194852, with distinctive numbers from 58859099 to 58859196, accounting for 98 shares.
In the case of Askari Bank Limited (AKBL), five share certificates are involved, encompassing a total of 9,691 shares. The details include Scrip #771946 with 2,121 shares, Scrip #780221 with 2,045 shares, Scrip #788801 also with 2,045 shares, Scrip #797420 with 1,227 shares, and finally, Scrip #816401 with 2,253 shares.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the situation also affects Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC), where two share certificates totaling 226 shares have gone missing. These include Scrip #294117, accounting for 42 shares, and Scrip #50891476, with 184 shares.
Members of the exchange have been advised not to engage in any transactions involving these specific share certificates. The CDC has announced that, barring any objections received within seven days from the notice, duplicate share certificates will be issued to the concerned shareholder.
