Karachi: Notice of Loss of Share Certificates for Pakistan National Shipping Corporation

The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) has reported the loss of multiple share certificates previously owned by deceased shareholders, with a notification issued on August 16, 2024. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these certificates, if uncontested, will result in the issuance of duplicates within seven days.

The first set of lost certificates was under the name of Jiawabai Yousaf, folio number 10647. It included three certificates: certificate numbers 274036 to 274040 with distinctive numbers from 119586607 to 119587106 covering 500 shares, certificate numbers 287053 to 287062 with distinctive numbers from 131067306 to 131068305 covering 1,000 shares, and certificate number 287063 with distinctive numbers from 131068306 to 131068355 covering 50 shares. The total shares involved amount to 1,550.

Another set of lost certificates belonged to Hajiyani Hava Bai, under folio number 29124. This set included certificate number 48816 with distinctive numbers from 14139659 to 14139708, covering 50 shares.

The Pakistan Stock Exchange has advised its members to refrain from dealing with these shares until the situation is resolved to ensure the integrity of transactions and the rightful handling of the deceased shareholders' assets.
