Lotte Chemical Pakistan Records Significant Profit Surge in First Half of 2026

Karachi: Lotte Chemical Pakistan Ltd, a prominent entity in the chemicals sector, has reported a substantial increase in its profits for the first half of 2026. According to the company's financial statement released on July 28, 2026, the profit after taxation for the six-month period ending June 30, 2026, stood at 4.31 billion rupees, a notable rise from 741.78 million rupees during the same period last year.

The company's interim financial report highlights an increase in revenue from contracts with customers, reaching 44.71 billion rupees, compared to 40.18 billion rupees in the previous year. This significant move of 11.28% in revenue underscores the company's growth trajectory in a competitive market.

In terms of assets, Lotte Chemical Pakistan reported a total of 44.48 billion rupees as of June 30, 2026, down from 47.80 billion rupees at the end of December 2025. The decrease in total assets was primarily due to changes in deferred taxation and cash and bank balances.

On the liabilities front, the company recorded total liabilities of 24.20 billion rupees, largely unchanged from the 24.27 billion rupees at the end of the 2025 fiscal year. This stability in liabilities coincides with an increase in long-term borrowing, which now stands at 3.44 billion rupees.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Lotte Chemical Pakistan's performance reflects a robust operational strategy, with a gross profit of 5.63 billion rupees, significantly up from 1.78 billion rupees in the previous year. The operating profit also showed a big move, increasing from 1.16 billion rupees to 4.52 billion rupees.

The company's earnings per share rose to 2.85 rupees, compared to 0.49 rupees during the same period in 2025. This increase is indicative of the company's improved financial health and its ability to deliver value to shareholders.
