LSE Capital Limited Granted Extension for Annual General Meeting

Lahore: LSE Capital Limited has received an official extension to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. The extension, approved under Sections 132 and 237 of the Companies Act, allows the company until November 27, 2024, to convene the AGM and present its financial statements for the year ended September 30, 2024.

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan granted this extension following a request from LSE Capital Limited citing the need for additional time to finalize its audited financial statements. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company is now required to lay these financial statements before its shareholders for approval by the newly extended deadline.

This extension also includes an additional 30 days for the filing of the company’s first-quarter accounts for the period ending September 30, 2024, setting a new deadline for this requirement as December 29, 2024. This adjustment aims to accommodate the company's schedule without compromising the compliance and reporting standards mandated by law.

The communication from the commission emphasizes that this extension is granted without prejudice to any actions that may be initiated for non-compliance with the Act’s requirements, ensuring that regulatory measures remain enforceable despite the extended timeline.
