The Board of Directors, in a meeting on February 25, 2025, at the company's registered office, approved the reviewed financial statements.
For the half-year period ending December 31, 2024, LSE Capital Limited reported a revenue of 67.29 million rupees, a substantial increase from the 1.17 million rupees recorded during the same period in 2023. The company's operating expenses, specifically administrative and general expenses, amounted to 91.35 million rupees, up from 4.47 million rupees in the previous year. Despite these increased expenses, LSE Capital Limited managed to achieve an operating loss of 24.05 million rupees, improving from the prior year's loss of 3.31 million rupees.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's other income soared to 188.12 million rupees, compared to 0.19 million rupees in the previous year. Additionally, the share of profit from associates accounted for using the equity method, net of tax, was reported at 32.40 million rupees.
The company registered a profit before interest, levy, and taxation of 196.47 million rupees, a significant increase from the previous year's loss of 3.12 million rupees. Finance costs were reported at 57.45 million rupees. The profit before levy and taxation reached 139.03 million rupees, and after accounting for a levy of 4.32 million rupees, the profit before taxation stood at 134.71 million rupees.
LSE Capital Limited reported a net profit of 131.75 million rupees for the period, compared to a net loss of 3.12 million rupees in the previous year. The total comprehensive income for the period was 151.81 million rupees.
The company did not declare any cash dividends, bonus shares, or right shares for this period. The basic and diluted earnings per share were reported at 0.73 rupees, contrasting with the previous year's loss of 0.02 rupees per share.
