Karachi: Lucky Core Industries Limited has announced its financial results for the second quarter and half-year ending December 31, 2024, revealing a significant increase in profits. The company's Board of Directors approved the un-audited financial statements during a meeting held on January 27, 2025.
The company's consolidated financial performance showed a net turnover of PKR 62.25 billion for the six months, marking a 4% increase compared to the same period last year. The operating result for the same period was PKR 9.40 billion, a 16% rise from the previous year. Profit after tax (PAT) stood at PKR 6.30 billion, which is 25% higher than the same period last year, while earnings per share (EPS) rose to PKR 68.23.
On a standalone basis, Lucky Core Industries Limited reported a PAT of PKR 6.22 billion and EPS of PKR 67.33 for the six months, reflecting a 23% growth from the same period last year. The increase in profits is attributed to improved operating performance and a reduction in finance costs.
The Board has also declared an interim cash dividend of PKR 34.00 per share for the financial year ending June 30, 2025. This dividend will be paid to shareholders whose names are recorded on the Register of Members as of February 07, 2025.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company has seen significant growth in its financial metrics. The total assets of the company rose to PKR 108.45 billion from PKR 92.38 billion as of June 30, 2024. The company's equity increased to PKR 52.71 billion from PKR 49.46 billion, showing a strong financial position.
In terms of cash flow, the company reported a net cash generation from operating activities amounting to PKR 11.03 billion. However, it incurred a net cash outflow from investing activities totaling PKR 11.88 billion, primarily due to capital expenditures and business acquisitions. Financing activities generated a net cash inflow of PKR 8.59 billion, resulting in an overall increase in cash and cash equivalents to PKR 15.68 billion by the end of December 2024.
