Lucky Core Industries Reports Steady Growth in Q1 2024 Amid Economic Challenges

Lahore: Lucky Core Industries Limited has announced a consolidated net turnover of PKR 30.73 billion for the first quarter ended September 30, 2024, marking a 6% increase from the previous year's PKR 28.99 billion. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company also reported a growth in profit after tax (PAT) on both consolidated and standalone bases, despite facing macroeconomic headwinds.

On a consolidated level, the company achieved a profit after tax of PKR 2.62 billion, up 3% from last year's PKR 2.54 billion, and earnings per share (EPS) rose to PKR 28.41, also up by 3%. The operating result improved to PKR 4.24 billion, buoyed by a modest increase in gross profit and controlled operating expenses. However, finance costs and increased taxation weighed on the bottom line.

Standalone figures show the company's resilience, with a net turnover of PKR 30.74 billion and a PAT of PKR 2.60 billion, demonstrating a 3% improvement in earnings per share, now at PKR 28.10. The report highlighted the impact of recent changes in the Federal Budget FY 2024-25, which have shifted exports to a normal tax regime, affecting the company's tax obligations.

Despite these pressures, Lucky Core Industries has navigated the challenging landscape through diversified operations and efficient management strategies, enabling it to maintain positive earnings momentum and reinforce its market position.
