Karachi: Mandviwala Mauser Plastic Industries Limited has released its unaudited financial statement for the third quarter ending March 31, 2025, showcasing a steady financial performance amidst a backdrop of economic reforms and geopolitical tensions. The Pakistani economy continues to demonstrate positive momentum, highlighted by the lowest inflation rate since 1965, despite ongoing challenges.
As of March 2025, inflation was recorded at its lowest in decades, largely due to declining global food and energy prices. Urban inflation moderated, while rural inflation stabilized at zero. The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) maintained the policy rate at 12% in March, aiming to balance disinflation and economic recovery. Foreign exchange reserves stood at $16.0 billion, boosted by significant remittances and multilateral inflows.
Mandviwala Mauser's financial performance for the quarter reflected a Minor move in sales, with net sales slightly declining. However, the company reported a Moderate move in gross profit and net profit, indicating stronger profitability despite price pressures from global petrochemical markets.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's earnings per share experienced a Moderate move during the period. The reintroduction of the 120 Ltr and 160 Ltr open top drums marked a successful revival of dormant product lines, contributing positively to the company's portfolio.
Over the nine-month period from July 2024 to March 2025, the company faced intense market competition, resulting in price pressures. Nonetheless, newly reintroduced products demonstrated successful market re-entry, reflecting the company's strategic focus on maintaining competitiveness.
Looking ahead, Mandviwala Mauser aims to streamline its cost structure and invest selectively in equipment to support growth. The company's outlook remains sensitive to global economic shifts and regional geopolitical tensions, yet it remains optimistic about surpassing previous revenue levels.
The Board of Directors expressed gratitude to shareholders and stakeholders, acknowledging employees' efforts and the support of regulatory bodies such as the State Bank of Pakistan and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
