Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited has announced the re-composition of the NBP Pakistan Growth Index (NBPPGI), effective from August 7, 2025. This rebalancing exercise, conducted as of July 31, 2025, results in Mari Energies Limited joining the index, replacing Pakistan Oilfields Limited.
The updated list of constituent companies and their respective weights in the NBPPGI are as follows: Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited holds a weight of 10.00%, followed by United Bank Limited at 9.35%, and the newly added Mari Energies Limited at 9.20%. Oil & Gas Development Company Limited and Pakistan State Oil Company Limited carry weights of 9.14% and 9.11% respectively. The Hub Power Company Limited holds an 8.29% weight, while Pakistan Petroleum Limited is at 7.40%.
Engro Holdings Limited, Lucky Cement Limited, and Meezan Bank Limited are assigned weights of 6.75%, 5.93%, and 5.19% respectively. Furthermore, Habib Bank Limited and Engro Fertilizers Limited hold weights of 4.90% and 4.39%. In the banking sector, MCB Bank Limited, Systems Limited, and Bank AL Habib Limited have weights of 3.68%, 3.67%, and 3.00% respectively.
