Karachi: Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) announced the appointment of Mr. Zafar Abbas as a new director to its board, effective August 08, 2024. Mr. Abbas, currently serving as the Additional Secretary (Policy) at the Petroleum Division of the Ministry of Energy, replaces Mr. Hassan Mehmood Yousufzai.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the transition comes as part of the government’s ongoing adjustments within major energy sector enterprises. Mr. Abbas, nominated by the Government of Pakistan, will assume his responsibilities immediately, aligning with the company's strategic directives.
The members of the Exchange have been informed about this change as per the standard regulatory practices.
