Karachi: Mari Petroleum Company Limited has disclosed recent stock transactions involving its top executives to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, providing a transparent view into the trading activities that occurred in early October 2024.
The company, in a formal communication addressed to the General Manager of the Pakistan Stock Exchange, detailed several transactions of shares. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), on September 18, 2024, Major Muhammad Umar Shamin (Retd), an executive at the company, purchased 300 shares at a rate of 457.00 PKR per share. He followed this with another purchase of 500 shares at 469.00 PKR on October 2, 2024.
In a notable sale, Col Abdul Khaliq (Retd), another executive, sold 6,977 shares at a rate of 445.31 PKR on October 2, 2024. The transactions continued with Raheel Ahmed purchasing a single share on October 3, 2024, for 426.00 PKR and another ten shares on October 7, 2024, for 420.00 PKR each. On the same day, Naveed Ahmed bought 11 shares at 424.14 PKR each.
All transactions have been confirmed by Mari Petroleum and will be discussed in the next board meeting as part of regular procedural compliance. The company also confirmed that the holding period for these transactions exceeds six months, and the requisite equivalent to the profit shall be deposited with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan as required under the current financial regulations.
