Mari Petroleum Reports Loss of Share Certificates Worth Over 3,499 Shares

Karachi: Mari Petroleum Company Limited has officially reported the loss of several share certificates, collectively representing a substantial number of shares in the company.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the lost certificates, belonging to shareholder Mr. Tariq Iqbal Peracha, encompassed a total of 3,499 shares. This incident was documented under folio number 12191, encompassing four distinct certificates numbered 52570, 53248, 53885, and 54134.

The distinct numbers associated with these certificates ranged from 51787182 to 109502888, further detailing the shares distributed as follows: 1,750 shares under the first set of distinctive numbers, 875 under the second, 831 under the third, and a smaller lot of 43 shares under the last. This cumulative loss represents a significant portion of Mr. Peracha's holdings in Mari Petroleum.

Mari Petroleum has initiated procedures to address this issue, starting with the issuance of duplicate certificates if no claim is filed within seven days from the circular issued by the Pakistan Stock Exchange. This proactive approach aims to safeguard shareholder interests while ensuring the integrity of trading activities related to its stock.
