MCB Bank Limited Faces Share Certificate Loss Reports


Lahore: MCB Bank Limited has reported the loss of share certificates associated with specific folio numbers, prompting cautionary measures within the trading community.



On May 6, 2026, the bank disclosed that certain share certificates tied to Folio No. 30273 and Folio No. 58251 have been reported lost. Specifically, Mr. Mohammad Yousaf of Mustafa House, Harappa City, District Sahiwal, has notified the loss of certificates with distinct numbers ranging from 430648107 to 549667787, and from 430648165 to 549667839 under Certificate No. 1671551 to 1729444. These certificates account for a total of 112 shares, with 59 shares and 53 shares associated with each distinctive number range, respectively.



Additionally, legal heirs have reported the loss of certificates connected to Folio No. 58251. Ms. Najma Sultana, residing at SD-17, Askari Housing Scheme, near Cantt Board Office, Sarwar Road, Lahore, has noted the loss of Certificate No. 58251, covering distinctive numbers from 117378323 to 117378822, totaling 500 shares.



According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), stakeholders have been advised not to engage in dealings involving these certificates. Should the company not receive objections within seven days of the notice, duplicate certificates will be issued to the respective shareholders.



The trading community and relevant stakeholders are urged to exercise due diligence and refrain from transactions involving the reported lost certificates until the resolution of the matter.
