Karachi: MCB Investment Management Limited has released the financial results for its Alhamra Daily Dividend Fund for the quarter ending September 30, 2026. The figures reflect significant changes in income streams and expenses compared to the same period last year.
The fund reported a total income of 82.72 million rupees for the quarter, marking a substantial increase from the 64.75 million rupees recorded in the same quarter of 2025. This uptick in income can be attributed to several factors, including mark-up on balances with banks, which more than doubled to 67.50 million rupees from 35.92 million rupees. Income on debt securities, however, saw a sharp decline, dropping to 1.80 million rupees from 28.83 million rupees. The fund also gained 12.67 million rupees from government securities, a new income stream not present in the previous year. Additionally, there was a capital gain of 565,000 rupees on the sale of investments, along with an unrealized gain of 184,000 rupees.
On the expenses side, the fund incurred 10.94 million rupees, which is an increase from last year’s 8.31 million rupees. This rise is primarily due to the remuneration of the management company, which increased to 8.88 million rupees from 7.22 million rupees. The Sindh sales tax on this remuneration also saw an increase, recorded at 1.33 million rupees compared to 1.08 million rupees the previous year. A brokerage expense of 729,000 rupees was introduced this year, contributing to the overall rise in expenses.
The net income before taxation for the period stood at 71.78 million rupees, up from 56.44 million rupees, reflecting a big move in financial performance. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the net income for the period, after accounting for taxes, remained unchanged at 71.78 million rupees.
The net income allocation for the period was categorized into capital gains and income excluding capital gains. The capital gains accounted for 749,000 rupees, while the remaining 71.03 million rupees pertained to income excluding capital gains.
