MCB Investment Management Limited Reports Robust Financial Results for Alhamra Islamic Asset Allocation Fund

Karachi: MCB Investment Management Limited, the management company of the Alhamra Islamic Asset Allocation Fund, has announced its financial results for the half year ended December 31, 2024. The results were approved by the Board of Directors during a meeting held at the company's Head Office in Karachi on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.

The financial statements revealed a comprehensive total income of 546.95 million for the half-year period, demonstrating a robust performance compared to the previous year. Notably, the net income for the period after taxation stood at 473.85 million, marking a significant improvement from the previous year, underscoring the fund's strong financial health and stability.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the Alhamra Islamic Asset Allocation Fund's net assets at the end of the period were reported at 1.76 billion. This increase in net assets is attributed to the fund's effective management and strategic investment decisions, which have yielded positive returns for its unit holders.

Despite the positive financial performance, the earnings per unit (EPU) were not disclosed due to the management's opinion that the calculation of the weighted average number of units is impracticable. However, the net asset value per unit at the end of the period was reported at 155.63, reflecting a substantial increase from the beginning of the period value of 112.10.

The financial results also highlighted a realized gain on the sale of investments, net unrealized appreciation on remeasurement of investments classified as financial assets at fair value through profit or loss, and income from dividends and bank deposits as key contributors to the total income. The fund's expenses, which include remuneration to the management company, trustee fees, and marketing expenses, were efficiently managed to ensure maximum returns to unit holders.

The financial results for the half-year period underscore MCB Investment Management Limited's commitment to delivering sustainable growth and value to its investors. The detailed statement of assets and liabilities, statement of profit and loss, and other comprehensive statements are available for further review. The company will also distribute the requisite number of printed accounts among the members of the exchange, ensuring transparency and accountability in its financial disclosures.
