Karachi: MCB Investment Management Limited reported a significant decline in its financial performance for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, with total income dropping markedly compared to the same period last year. The data, unveiled in an un-audited interim income statement on October 20, 2026, highlighted a decrease in key income streams.
The total income for the quarter stood at 2.07 billion rupees, a very large decrease from the 3.12 billion rupees recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Operating expenses also showed a considerable decrease, totaling 197.63 million rupees, down from 350.90 million rupees in the previous year’s quarter. The remuneration of the Management Company and the Sindh Sales tax on this fee accounted for a combined 168.96 million rupees, a reduction from the 308.90 million rupees recorded last year.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the net income from operating activities fell to 1.87 billion rupees, a very large decline from 2.77 billion rupees the previous year. Despite no taxation impacts, the net income for the period after taxation mirrored the same trend, marking a substantial downturn.
The allocation of net income for the period showed a decrease, with the net income available for distribution dropping to 1.37 billion rupees from the 3.67 billion rupees reported in the previous year. Notably, income relating to capital gains rose slightly to 72.41 million rupees from 61.42 million rupees, while income excluding capital gains saw a significant drop to 1.30 billion rupees from 3.60 billion rupees.
