Meezan Bank Announces Credit of Interim Cash Dividend for 2025

Karachi: Meezan Bank Limited has announced the nationwide publication of notices for the credit of its interim cash dividend for the year ending December 31, 2025. The announcement, made on May 16, 2025, follows an earlier letter dated May 15, 2025, concerning the credit of the interim cash dividend of Rs. 7 per share, representing 70% of the bank’s declared dividend for the year.

The details of the dividend credit were disseminated through publications in two newspapers, "Business Recorder" and "Daily Express," in English and Urdu, respectively. These notices are intended to inform the shareholders of the bank about the dividend credit process. The bank has requested the TRE Certificate Holders of the Exchange to be informed accordingly.

The interim cash dividend, which was approved by the Board of Directors in a meeting on April 21, 2025, has been credited between May 13, 2025, and May 14, 2025, via electronic mode directly into the designated bank accounts of shareholders who have provided valid International Bank Account Numbers (IBANs).

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the bank is in compliance with Section 242 of the Companies Act, 2017, and the Companies (Distribution of Dividends) Regulations 2017, withholding dividends for shareholders who have not provided valid IBANs or have submitted incomplete or incorrect bank account details.

The bank has urged shareholders whose dividends have been withheld to submit a legible copy of their valid CNIC and complete bank account details, including valid IBANs, via the E-Dividend Mandate Form available on their website. Shareholders maintaining shareholding in physical form are directed to contact the bank's Share Registrar in Karachi, while those holding shares in CDC electronic form are advised to contact their respective Broker/Participant/Investor Account Services of the Central Depository Company of Pakistan (CDC).
