Mughal Iron & Steel Industries Announces E-Voting and Ballot Paper Procedures for Extraordinary General Meeting

Lahore: Mughal Iron & Steel Industries Limited has outlined procedures for shareholders to participate in an upcoming Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM) scheduled for June 20, 2025, in Lahore. This meeting will address a specific agenda item termed "Special Business."

In compliance with the Companies (Postal Ballot) Regulations, 2018, the company is facilitating shareholder participation through two voting methods: electronic voting (E-voting) and postal voting (Ballot Paper). M/s. Digital Custodian Company Limited has been appointed to provide E-voting services.

According to the details released, shareholders registered as of June 11, 2025, will receive login credentials and security codes via email and SMS, enabling access to the E-voting platform. Shareholders will be able to cast their votes electronically from June 17, 2025, to June 19, 2025. It is noted that once a vote is cast electronically, it cannot be modified.

The alternative voting method involves traditional Ballot Paper submission. Shareholders opting for this method must send a completed and signed Ballot Paper to the company's chairman, Mr. Mirza Javed Iqbal, at the specified company address in Lahore. Alternatively, they can email a scanned copy to the provided email address. The deadline for Ballot Paper submission is June 19, 2025, during working hours. Late submissions will not be counted.

Specific requirements accompany Ballot Paper submission, including the necessity of attaching a copy of identification, matching signatures, and additional documentation for corporate entities. Incomplete or incorrectly filled ballots will be rejected. The Ballot Paper is available on the company’s website and will also be published in the Business Recorder and Nawa-i-Waqt newspapers on June 13, 2025.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these procedural details have been communicated to the TRE certificate holders of the exchange. This ensures that investors have access to crucial information regarding their participation in corporate governance.
