Mughal Iron and Steel Announces E-Voting and Ballot Paper Voting for AGM

Lahore: Mughal Iron and Steel Industries Limited has detailed the voting procedures for its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled on October 26, 2024, at Lahore. The company has introduced both electronic and traditional paper ballot voting to ensure broader participation in deciding key corporate resolutions.

In preparation for the AGM, the company has appointed M/s. Digital Custodian Company Limited as the e-voting service provider, enhancing accessibility for shareholders to participate from remote locations. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this dual method aims to accommodate all shareholders effectively, particularly in decisions on special business items listed for the meeting.

Shareholders can cast their votes electronically from October 23, 2024, to October 25, 2024. Furthermore, the management has stipulated a "Closed Period" for trading by insiders from October 17, 2024, until the AGM date, under the standard regulatory framework to prevent misuse of unpublished financial information.

The company has issued specific guidelines for paper ballot voting, which requires submissions to be received by October 25, 2024. Ballots must be accompanied by a copy of the national ID or passport, and all foreign shareholders must ensure their documents are verified by the Embassy of Pakistan.

The procedural updates are intended to streamline the voting process and uphold the integrity and transparency of the corporate governance practices at Mughal Iron and Steel Industries.
