RAWALPINDI: Murree Brewery Company Limited has confirmed that its 157th Annual General Meeting (AGM) will convene on October 25, 2024. The meeting will be held at Rawalpindi. This year’s AGM is notable for its substantial dividend declaration as outlined in the meeting's agenda.

The primary focus of the AGM will be to review and adopt the Annual Audited Financial Statements for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024, alongside the Auditor's and Chairman's Review Reports. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company has announced a final cash dividend of 150%, which is Rs. 15 per share of Rs. 10 each. This dividend is in addition to the interim dividends already paid at 255%, bringing the total cash dividend for the year to an impressive 405%, or Rs. 40.5 per share.

Additionally, the AGM will address the appointment of the auditors for the upcoming fiscal year. The Audit & Risk Management Committee along with the Board of Directors have recommended the reappointment of the retiring auditors, M/s KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co. Chartered Accountants, for the year ending June 30, 2025.
