National Foods Reports Significant Profit Increase Amidst Dividend Declaration


Karachi: National Foods announced a significant rise in profits for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, as the company revealed its financial results following a meeting held by the Board of Directors at its corporate office in Karachi on September 9, 2025. The board recommended a final cash dividend of Rs. 5 per share, building upon an interim dividend previously distributed at Rs. 4 per share.



The financial results, which were shared publicly, highlighted a notable increase in sales and profits. The company’s net sales rose to 101.31 billion, from 86.38 billion in the previous year. Gross profits also saw an upward trajectory, reaching 29.14 billion, compared to 23.57 billion in the prior year. This performance translated into an operating profit increase, with the figures standing at 8.50 billion, up from 6.22 billion the previous year.



According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the reported earnings per share for National Foods also experienced a big move, rising from Rs. 8.19 to Rs. 14.85. This reflects the overall positive financial health of the company amidst various economic challenges.



Despite the positive financial outlook, the board did not recommend any bonus shares for the fiscal year. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for shareholders is scheduled for October 20, 2025, at the Beach Luxury Hotel in Karachi, with an option for stakeholders to attend via video link.



The company’s financial documentation, including its Statement of Profit or Loss and other comprehensive income, Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Change in Equity, and Statement of Cash Flow, highlights a robust performance with total comprehensive income attributable to owners of the Parent Company reaching 3.55 billion, up from 1.59 billion the year before.
