National Refinery Shares Experience Modest Gains Amidst Trading Fluctuations

Karachi, The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE) saw notable activity in shares of National Refinery (NRL) on Thursday, with several variations in its stocks trading throughout the day. Despite the different trading figures reported for various future months, all NRL stocks witnessed modest gains by the close of the market.

For the standard NRL shares, the opening price was marked at PKR 269, reaching a high of PKR 267.9 before closing at PKR 268.05, slightly lower than the highest point but above the opening price. The total shares traded for this category stood at 559,518.

In the specific futures categories, NRL-APR shares opened at PKR 273.75 and saw a closing of PKR 272.27, following a similar trend of slight gain. The total shares traded in this segment were higher at 604,500.

Similarly, NRL-MAR shares opened the trading day at PKR 269.9 and closed at PKR 268.05. Despite a lower low compared to NRL and NRL-APR, the shares managed to recover, with a substantial volume of 636,500 shares being traded.

In contrast, NRL-MAY shares showed no trading activity with opening and closing prices marked at zero. However, the stock high was listed at PKR 279.69, indicating potential activity not reflected in the day's trading volume.

Overall, the National Refinery stocks exhibited resilience, managing to post gains across different categories, except for the May futures, which remained stagnant.
