NBP Fund Management Limited Reports Financial Performance with Significant Gains

The report, dated September 7, 2026, provides insight into the income and expenses incurred over the year, reflecting the company's robust financial health.

The NBP Income Opportunity Fund reported a total income of 1.54 billion rupees, an increase from 1.29 billion rupees in the previous year. The net income for the year after taxation stood at 1.33 billion rupees, a moderate move of 15.68% over the previous year's 1.15 billion rupees. This increase was largely driven by gains in bank balance profits and the sale of investments.

The fund's expenses rose to 208.86 million rupees from 144.32 million rupees, driven by increased management fees and transaction costs. Despite the rise in expenses, the fund's net income before taxation saw a moderate move upward, demonstrating effective cost management.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the funds under management have shown a significant performance improvement, particularly in dividend income and gains on investment sales. The fund's net unrealised appreciation on re-measurement of investments at fair value contributed significantly to the total income.

Another fund under NBP Fund Management Limited reported a substantial total income increase to 19.72 billion rupees from 15.52 billion rupees, marking a very large or significant move of 27.00%. This was largely due to a significant gain on investment sales and increased dividend income. The expenses for this fund rose to 2.10 billion rupees from 1.48 billion rupees, driven by higher management fees and related taxes.

A third fund recorded a total income of 650.92 million rupees, up from 607.15 million rupees, indicating a minor move of 7.19%. The expenses for this fund were reported at 77.50 million rupees, compared to 64.76 million rupees the previous year. The net income after taxation saw a moderate move upward to 573.42 million rupees from 542.38 million rupees.

The final fund reported a total income of 899.45 million rupees, down from 2.01 billion rupees, indicating a very large or significant move downward of 55.27%. Despite the decrease in total income, the net income after taxation was reported at 780.41 million rupees, down from 1.82 billion rupees the previous year, reflecting the challenges faced in this segment.

Overall, NBP Fund Management Limited's financial results highlight the company's successful navigation of market conditions, with notable gains in several funds and a strategic approach to expense management.
