NBP Government Securities Fund-II Records Significant Income Increase

Karachi: NBP Fund Management Limited has reported a notable financial performance for its NBP Government Securities Fund-II, as revealed in the annual report for the period ending June 30, 2026. The fund's total income reached 202.92 million rupees, marking a very large or significant move in earnings.

The report, dated October 1, 2026, details the fund's financial activities from August 18, 2025, to June 30, 2026. The income was primarily driven by substantial earnings from Pakistan Investment Bonds, amounting to 142.97 million rupees, supplemented by profits from bank deposits and Market Treasury Bills, which contributed 21.77 million rupees and 38.85 million rupees, respectively.

On the expenses side, the fund incurred a total of 9.07 million rupees. This includes the remuneration of NBP Fund Management Limited - Management Company, standing at 4.71 million rupees, and other associated costs such as the Sindh Sales Tax on remuneration, trustee fees, and various operational charges.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the net income before taxation amounted to 193.86 million rupees. Notably, there were no tax liabilities reported for the period, resulting in the net income after taxation matching the pre-tax figures.

The allocation of net income for the period included a deduction of 188.81 million rupees, which was already paid on units redeemed, leaving an accounting income available for distribution, excluding capital gains, at 5.04 million rupees.
