NBP Islamic Mustahkam Fund Reports Significant Income Growth amid Fiscal Year-End

Karachi: NBP Fund Management Limited has released its annual report for the NBP Islamic Mustahkam Fund, detailing a notable performance for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The report, made public on October 1, 2026, highlights significant income figures and operational results, reflecting the fund's robust position in the financial sector.

According to the income statement, the fund's total income for the year reached 1.19 billion rupees, while total expenses were reported at 32.65 million rupees. This resulted in a net income before taxation of 1.15 billion rupees. Notably, the fund did not incur any taxation costs, allowing it to maintain a net income after taxation of 1.15 billion rupees.

The income was driven primarily by returns from term deposit receipts and bank balances. Profit on bank balances contributed 108.44 million rupees, while income on term deposit receipts added a substantial 255.25 million rupees to the fund's revenue. Additionally, income on bai muajjal certificates accounted for 345.21 million rupees, marking key areas of financial inflows.

A significant portion of the fund's income was allocated for distribution, with 153.49 million rupees available after accounting for income paid on units redeemed, which amounted to 999.36 million rupees.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the fund's total income experienced a very large or significant move, supported by the absence of losses on the sale of investments. The report underscores no income from GoP Ijarah sukuks or Certificates of Investment, which did not impact the overall financial outcome.

In terms of expenses, the fund's management remuneration was 27.90 million rupees, with Sindh sales tax on management remuneration adding another 4.19 million rupees. Other notable expenses included trustee remuneration and associated taxes, totaling 2.83 million rupees, and a professional fee of 169,000 rupees.

The comprehensive financial performance highlighted in the report positions the NBP Islamic Mustahkam Fund as a strong entity within the designated market category, demonstrating resilience and growth amid prevailing economic conditions.
