Karachi: NBP Fund Management Limited has released the annual report for its Mustahkam Fund, showcasing a notable increase in total income attributed primarily to high returns from government securities. The report, dated October 1, 2026, details the financial performance of the fund for the period ending June 30, 2026.
According to the income statement, NBP Mustahkam Fund generated a total income of 1,241.19 million rupees, with income from government securities alone contributing 695.55 million rupees. This significant portion underscores the fund's strategic investment in government-backed assets, which have yielded substantial returns. Additionally, profit on bank balances added 545.20 million rupees to the total income.
Expenses for the period amounted to 38.56 million rupees. The remuneration of NBP Fund Management Limited as the management company was the largest expense, totaling 17.30 million rupees. Other noteworthy expenses included the remuneration of the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited as trustee, which was 6.23 million rupees, and the annual fee paid to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, amounting to 8.50 million rupees.
As a result of these financial activities, the net income for the period before taxation stood at 1,202.63 million rupees. The fund reported no taxation for this period, thus maintaining the net income figure post-taxation at the same level.
The report highlights that the accounting income available for distribution totaled 26.12 million rupees, comprising 427,000 rupees relating to capital gains and 25.69 million rupees excluding capital gains.
