Nimir Resins Limited Reports Record Financial Growth Amid Global Challenges

Lahore: The Board of Directors of Nimir Resins Limited has presented the 62nd Annual Report alongside the audited financial statements for the fiscal year concluding on June 30, 2026. As per the report, the company has achieved substantial financial growth despite the ongoing global political and security challenges that continue to impact economies worldwide.

The economic landscape during the reviewed period was marked by significant disruptions, particularly in Pakistan, where the supply chain suffered severe disturbances due to conflicts in the Middle East. These disruptions led to increased product prices and freight costs. However, Pakistan's macroeconomic conditions remained broadly stable, aided by a cautious monetary policy and a low inflation rate, which helped in restoring business confidence. Large-scale manufacturing saw a robust rebound, with a growth of 6.5% following a contraction in the previous year. Real GDP grew by 3.7%, supported by the IMF program. Fiscal discipline improved notably, narrowing the deficit to 2.6% of GDP, the lowest in 22 years. The current account registered a surplus of USD 0.13 billion, driven by record remittances, allowing the central bank to maintain stable exchange rates.

For the fiscal year ending in June 2026, Nimir Resins Limited reported unprecedented performance, as highlighted in the Directors' Report. Gross sales increased by 32% to PKR 14,490 million. The company saw its gross profit and operating profit rise by 85% and 104% respectively. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the profit before taxation surged by 186%, while profit after taxation climbed to PKR 503 million, a growth of 102% from the previous year. Earnings per share increased to PKR 3.56 from PKR 1.77 in 2025.

Looking forward, the economic outlook for Pakistan in FY27 is cautiously optimistic, supported by ongoing structural and fiscal reforms and the continuation of the IMF program. The government targets a GDP growth of 4.0% with projected average inflation at 8.2%. Stable exchange rates, strong remittance inflows, and improved foreign exchange reserves are expected to bolster economic resilience and investor confidence. However, inflationary pressures and regional geopolitical developments may pose near-term challenges.

Management at Nimir Resins Limited has set ambitious growth targets for the coming year across all business segments, with expectations of improved margins. The Board remains confident that the financial year 2027 will witness further growth in both revenue and profitability.
