Lahore: Nishat Chunian Power Limited has announced an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) set for August 17, 2024, as directed by the Honourable Lahore High Court in case CO No. 42288 of 2024. The meeting will focus on a special business scheme of arrangement, which was approved by the company’s Board of Directors during their meeting on July 18, 2024.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the EGM will be held at The Nishat Hotel located at Emporium Mall Trade and Finance Centre Block, near Expo Centre, Abdul Haque Road, Johar Town, Lahore, starting at 3:00 PM. In preparation for this meeting, the company will close its books from August 10, 2024, to August 17, 2024, inclusive of both days.

This decision follows compliance with Sections 96 and 131 of the Securities Act, 2015 and Regulation 5.6.1 of the PSX Regulations, ensuring all procedural guidelines are met. The company has also communicated this development to the Trading Right Entitlement (TRE) Certificate Holders of the Exchange and other relevant market participants to ensure transparency and proper governance.
