Karachi: Several prominent Pakistani companies reported the loss of share certificates, as announced today by the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). The affected entities include Allied Bank Limited, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Lucky Cement Limited, GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan Limited, IBL Healthcare Limited, The Searle Company Limited, and Habib Bank Limited.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the lost certificates along with verified and unverified transfer deeds were reported misplaced or lost, prompting a formal notice. The exchange has advised its members not to engage in transactions involving these certificates until the matter is resolved. If no objections are received within seven days from today, duplicate certificates will be issued to the concerned shareholders.
This precautionary announcement aims to mitigate any potential misuse of the lost documents and safeguard shareholder interests while the verification process is underway.
