Karachi: Octopus Digital Limited has been granted a 30-day extension by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the financial year ending December 31, 2025. The extension allows the company until May 30, 2026, to convene the AGM and present the annual audited financial statements for shareholder consideration.
The extension was approved following a request from Octopus Digital Limited, submitted on March 31, 2026, under Sections 132 and 223 of the Companies Act, 2017. The SECP conveyed the decision through a letter dated April 8, 2026, allowing the company additional time to fulfill its statutory obligations.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the announcement of the extension was directed to inform the TRE Certificate Holders of the Exchange. This procedural update is a critical step for ensuring compliance and transparency within the designated market category.
The SECP’s approval is issued with the competent authority’s endorsement and does not preclude any potential actions for non-compliance with the Companies Act, 2017. The extension underscores the regulatory framework’s flexibility in accommodating companies’ procedural requirements while maintaining adherence to statutory mandates.
