Karachi: Otsuka Pakistan Limited has scheduled its 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for October 30, 2024, to be held in Karachi and accessible via an online meeting facility. This session is set to cover several key points, including the adoption of the latest audited financial statements and the election of directors and a Chief Executive.
The company intends to present and seek approval for the audited accounts of the fiscal year that concluded on June 30, 2024. These accounts will be accompanied by the Chairman’s review, along with the Directors' and Auditors' reports. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this meeting will also address the appointment and remuneration of statutory auditors for the upcoming fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
A significant agenda item includes the election of seven directors for the next three years, starting November 1, 2024. These positions comprise two independent directors and the Chief Executive. The board, as per Section 159(1) of the Companies Act, 2017, has fixed these roles. The directors eligible for re-election include Mr. Mikio Banda, Mr. Suhari Mulch, Mr. Koichi Okada, Mr. Tariq Mehtab Feroz, Mr. Abid Hussain, Mrs. Navin Salim Merchant, and Mr. Moin ur Rehman.
Additionally, the AGM will provide a platform for any other business deemed necessary, with the Chair’s permission.
