Pak Agro Packaging Ltd Denies Knowledge of Share Price Movement

Karachi: Pak Agro Packaging Ltd has formally stated that it is unaware of any factors contributing to the unusual movement in its share price. This statement follows a notification from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) dated August 12, 2025, which inquired about recent fluctuations in the company’s stock value.

According to the company’s records, there have been no recent actions or developments that would impact share prices significantly. The company’s management addressed the PSX’s concerns by highlighting a past discussion with AKD Securities Ltd, their consulting firm during the 2021 initial public offering. This discussion, occurring approximately four months prior, revolved around the potential transition of Pak Agro Packaging Ltd from the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) to the main board of the PSX.

The management indicated that AKD Securities Ltd advised against the transition due to unfavorable market conditions at the time. As a result, the company decided not to pursue the transition further. This decision was considered preliminary and hence, not deemed material enough to warrant a formal notification to the PSX.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the movement in the company’s share price has been classified as a Moderate move. The company reiterated its commitment to transparency and expressed its intention to keep the market informed of any significant developments in the future.
