Pak Qatar General Takaful Limited IPO Sees Significant Oversubscription

Karachi: Pak Qatar General Takaful Limited’s recent Initial Public Offering (IPO) witnessed a significant oversubscription, as applications were received for 71.67 million ordinary shares against the offered 7.50 million shares. This substantial interest from investors was recorded during the public subscription phase held on January 28 and 29, 2026.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the IPO attracted a total of 13,013 applications, representing a total monetary commitment of 1.00 billion Pakistani Rupees. The registrar, M/s CDC Share Registrar Services Limited, compiled the data, highlighting the demand across various share application categories.

In the 500-share application category, 2,342 applications accounted for 1.17 million shares with a monetary value of 16.39 million Pakistani Rupees. Similarly, 2,873 applications in the 1,000-share category contributed to 2.87 million shares, amounting to 40.22 million Pakistani Rupees.

The application category for 1,500 shares saw 1,225 applications, amounting to 1.84 million shares, valued at 25.73 million Pakistani Rupees. In the 2,000-share category, 3,349 applications led to 6.70 million shares, translating to a financial commitment of 93.77 million Pakistani Rupees.

Notably, the category of applications exceeding 2,000 shares received 3,224 applications for a total of 59.09 million shares, representing 827.24 million Pakistani Rupees. This category alone indicates the considerable interest from larger investors.

The offering’s oversubscription highlights a very large or significant move in investor interest, suggesting strong confidence in Pak Qatar General Takaful Limited. Applications for up to 1,500 shares will be fully allotted, while those for 2,000 shares will undergo balloting. Any funds received for applications exceeding 2,000 shares will be refunded to investors.
