Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited Launches Book Building for Public Offering

Karachi: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (PSX) have given their approval for the public offering of 30,000,000 ordinary shares of Pak-Qatar General Takaful Limited. The issuance, circulation, and publication of the prospectus are scheduled as part of a book building process, according to a statement dated January 15, 2026.

In the prospectus, it is outlined that 75% of the issue size, specifically 22,500,000 shares, will be offered through the book building method. The shares will be available at a floor price of PKR 10.00 per share, with a maximum price band of up to 40%, equating to PKR 14.00 per share. This offering is directed at eligible participants as defined by the Public Offering Regulations, 2017.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), eligible participants interested in the book building process must complete a one-time registration with PSX. These participants, who are clearing members of the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL), need to provide mandatory information including the name of a contact person, email address, and mobile number. The registration period is set from January 16 to January 22, 2026, with specific time allocations for each day.

Furthermore, eligible participants are required to submit an expression of interest to NCCPL to partake in the book building system. This involves registering via email with the subject line "Book Building Auction" and submitting margins as per the regulations within the designated time schedule.

The bidding dates for the public offering are set for January 21 and 22, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The registration will remain open until 3:00 PM on the final day of the bidding period, January 22, 2026. Margin money collection from eligible participants will occur from January 16 to January 22, 2026, with the collection and refund of margin money scheduled for January 23, 2026.

The PSX has also approved the dates for the publication of the prospectus, the book building, and public subscription, marking a significant move in the designated market category.
