Rawalpindi: Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL) has announced its standalone and consolidated financial results for the six months ending December 31, 2024, as per a board meeting held on January 27, 2025. In line with its financial performance, the company declared an interim cash dividend of Rs. 25.00 per share, translating to a 250% return for its shareholders.
The announcement came after the board of directors convened at POL House, Morgah, Rawalpindi, at 1:00 P.M. on January 27, 2025. Despite the generous cash dividend, the board decided against issuing bonus shares or rights shares. The entitlements will be available to shareholders listed in the register of members by February 7, 2025.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), POL's financial statements indicate a steady financial position. The issued, subscribed, and paid-up capital remains at 2.84 billion, while the revenue reserves were reported at 70.29 billion, a decrease from the 80.01 billion noted in the previous period ending June 30, 2024.
The company's liabilities have shown a mixed trend, with current liabilities slightly decreased to 55.79 billion from 55.85 billion, and non-current liabilities marginally declining from 37.19 billion to 36.85 billion. POL's total non-current assets are valued at 17.50 billion, with long-term investments in subsidiaries and associates amounting to 9.62 billion.
Current assets have been reported at 138.62 billion, a slight decrease from the 142.65 billion recorded on June 30, 2024. This includes significant cash and bank balances of 68.36 billion, which support the company's liquidity position.
The cash flow statement reveals that POL received 30.83 billion in cash from customers, while operating activities generated a net cash flow of 11.42 billion. However, the company faced significant cash outflows from financing activities, with dividends paid amounting to 19.70 billion, highlighting its commitment to returning value to shareholders.
Despite a challenging economic environment, POL's strategic financial management and robust dividend policy underscore its market stability and shareholder value prioritization in the oil and gas sector.
