Karachi, The Pakistan Paper Products Limited (PPP Ltd.) has announced its 61st Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on October 26, 2023, at its corporate headquarters in Karachi. The meeting will also be accessible through video-conferencing to accommodate shareholders from various locations.
The AGM is set to address critical business matters for the company, including the following agenda items:
1. Confirmation of Previous Meeting Minutes: The first order of business will be the confirmation of the minutes of the Extraordinary General Meeting held on May 11, 2023.
2. Review of Audited Accounts: Shareholders will receive, consider, and adopt the audited accounts of PPP Ltd. for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2023. This review will include insights from the Chairman, Directors' reports, and Auditors' reports.
3. Approval of Cash Dividend: Shareholders will deliberate on the proposed final cash dividend for the year ending June 30, 2023, at a rate of 40%, equivalent to Rs. 4.00 per ordinary share of Rs. 10 each. This dividend recommendation has been made by the Board of Directors.
4. Appointment of Statutory Auditors: The AGM will address the appointment of Statutory Auditors for the upcoming fiscal year 2023-24. M/s. Faruq Ali, the current auditors, have offered themselves for reappointment.
In preparation for the AGM, it's important to note that the Share Transfer Books of PPP Ltd. will remain closed from Tuesday, October 24, 2023, to Thursday, October 26, 2023, inclusive. Share transfers received at the office of the company's Share Registrar, M/s. F.D. Registrar Services (Pvt) Ltd, located at 17th Floor, Saima Trade Tower–A, I.I. Chandigarh Road, Karachi 74000, until the close of business on Monday, October 23, 2023, will be considered timely for the entitlements mentioned in the meeting agenda.
