Pakistan Refinery Limited Reports Annual Financial Results with Nil Dividend Announcement

Karachi: Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL) announced its financial results for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, during a Board of Directors meeting held on August 18, 2025. The refinery's board decided to recommend a Nil dividend for the year, according to official disclosures.

The financial statements, including the Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Profit or Loss and Other Comprehensive Income, Statement of Changes in Equity, and Statement of Cash Flows, have been prepared and enclosed as annexures for stakeholders' review. Despite the board's decision not to distribute dividends, the company is proceeding with its Annual General Meeting, scheduled for Monday, September 29, 2025, at 11:00 am at PRL's offices.

Shareholders are advised that the Share Transfer Books will remain closed from Tuesday, September 23, 2025, to Monday, September 29, 2025. Applications for share transfers will not be accepted during this period. However, transfers received by the Company's share registrar, M/s. FAMCO Share Registration Services (Private) Limited, by the close of business on Monday, September 22, 2025, will be eligible for participation and voting rights at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting.

The financial position of PRL reflects various shifts in asset values. Non-current assets accounted for a total of 35.36 billion, with notable figures in property, plant, and equipment. Current assets, meanwhile, amounted to 72.58 billion, highlighting significant holdings in inventories and trade receivables. The equity section saw an accumulated loss position, contrasting with the previous year's surplus, influenced by a revaluation surplus on property, plant, and equipment.

The company saw substantial adjustments in both long-term and short-term borrowings, with long-term borrowings increasing to 12.35 billion.
