Pakistan Services Limited Reports No Dividends for December 2024 Quarter

Islamabad: Pakistan Services Limited, in a recent board meeting, announced that no interim cash dividends or bonus shares would be issued for the quarter ending December 31, 2024. The board meeting was held on February 24, 2025, in Islamabad. The company also stated that there would be no issuance of right shares for this period.

The financial statement revealed a total equity increase from 45.90 billion to 46.39 billion rupees from June 2024 to December 2024. Liabilities saw a reduction in loans and borrowings from 228.43 million to 177.74 million rupees and a decrease in short-term borrowings from 1.87 billion to 1.19 billion rupees.

Current assets, including cash and bank balances, decreased from 439.96 million to 402.44 million rupees. The company's property, plant, and equipment increased from 54.57 billion to 55.38 billion rupees. The total assets rose to 62.50 billion rupees from 62.27 billion rupees.

Cash flows from operating activities before working capital changes were reported at 1.96 billion rupees. The net cash generated from operating activities amounted to 1.01 billion rupees, down from 1.66 billion rupees in the previous year. Cash used in investing activities stood at 562.65 million rupees, while cash used in financing activities was reported at 317.62 million rupees.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), there was a net increase in cash and cash equivalents, recorded at 131.72 million rupees at the end of the period, compared to a decrease of 108.62 million rupees in the same period the previous year.

The total comprehensive income for the period was 474.45 million rupees. The balance of total equity at the end of December 2024 was reported at 44.37 billion rupees, reflecting the company's financial position at the close of the quarter.
