Karachi: In a recent announcement, the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (PSX) has confirmed that it will suspend all trading activities for four days in observance of Eid-ul-Azha, one of the major Islamic festivals celebrated in Pakistan. The closure will commence on Friday, June 6, 2025, and will continue through Monday, June 9, 2025.
The notification, directed to all TRE Certificate Holders, staff, and relevant stakeholders, was issued on June 3, 2025. This annual holiday is a significant occasion for the Islamic community, marking the end of the Hajj pilgrimage and commemorating the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the market will resume regular operations on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. The PSX plays a crucial role in the financial landscape of Pakistan, providing a platform for the trading of equities and other financial instruments.
The designated market category for this period will be inactive as all trading activities will be paused during the specified holiday dates. The PSX has extended its Eid greetings to all its stakeholders in advance, in conjunction with the announcement of the trading suspension.
