Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced a temporary closure in observance of upcoming national holidays, according to a notice issued on March 17, 2026. The Exchange will be closed for trading on Friday, March 20, 2026, and Saturday, March 21, 2026, in celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, as declared by the Government of Pakistan.
In addition to these closures, the PSX will also remain shut on Monday, March 23, 2026, marking Pakistan Day, a national public holiday. The scheduled holidays have been confirmed in a previous notice, PSX/N-89, which was dated January 20, 2026.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), trading activities are set to resume on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, with Pre-Ramadan Trading Hours and Office Timings. The temporary suspension of trading is part of the Exchange’s adherence to national holiday observances.
The announcement serves as a reminder to all TRE Certificate Holders, staff, and concerned parties about the upcoming break in operations. The Exchange has also extended its Eid greetings to all stakeholders in advance of the holiday.
